Hi, folks.

I, Gordon Borneman, am seeking God for wisdom as to whether or not the 11/25/09 Dubai stop payments on debt is the trigger to the sequence that David Wilkerson described in a prophecy:

1. Very soon a European or North African or Eastern nation is going to default on its international loan.
2. When that happens, within two weeks, Mexico is going to default.
3. When the banks open the next day at 9:00 in the morning, $15 billion an hour is going to be withdrawn from our American banks; they’re going to be running our banks — the Arabs, all the Latin American countries — and before the day is over, the U.S.A. is going to have to declare a “bank holiday.”
4. We’re going into six months of the worst hell America has ever seen — there’s going to be chaos — not even the National Guard’s going to be able to quiet it down; we’re going to have to call out the whole U.S. Army.

The key here is to understand the nation that starts this sequence. The nation described as the trigger is not very specific. Was Dubai that country?

David Wilkerson’s Economic Vision

Key points to remember about this vision:

1. From the time the first country goes down, you’ll have two weeks to get your money out of the bank.
2. America will come through this crisis; there will be restoration.
3. But the nation will never be as it was before.
4. God is saying: Get our lives straight. Get rid of idols. Seek the face of God in holiness.
5. God will be a wall of fire about you … And the glory in the midst of you!

I believe this prophetic word from David Wilkerson, a true servant of the Lord, needs to be spread. May the Lord speak to your hearts and minds through it and help us to prepare both spiritually and economically for what is soon to come.

(Admin note: This prophecy is in Wilkerson’s book “The Vision.”  This scenario could easily fit into or describe the beginning of the tribulation. This is posted here simply as a matter of interest. It is not to incite fear. Christians are not to be fearful.

In the bible it is written that when Jesus returns, people will be going about their normal business – eating, drinking, marrying, etc. Horrible events will soon unfold but they’ll be unfolding after believers are removed from the earth.

No matter what happens, we can trust God. He alone is in total control and is more than able to keep us.)

God releases his awesome delivering power to those who completely trust him. Those who “stagger” in faith, fretting and worrying, will never be delivered from the snare of Satan.

The answer is simple, yet many of us just don’t get it. We go on living in turmoil and fear, while at our fingertips are all the precious promises needed to set us free from crises in this life. God hates our unbelief, mostly because it ties his hands and keeps us from enjoying his glorious provision. Make it a priority each day to pray, “Lord, help my unbelief. Give me childlike trust in you.”

WE COULD NOT GO ON HERE IN NEW YORK CITY WITHOUT COMPLETE TRUST IN THE LORD. The problems are too overwhelming. Millions of people are living in overcrowded conditions. The city is going wild with violence, drugs, murder, homicides, a new strain of TB that is airborne, the plague of AIDS.

Our workers who minister every day to the diseased street people and homeless who carry these diseases are not afraid. They trust the Lord to protect them and to strengthen them in this work.

I thank God for allowing us to be his channels in raising up a thriving church on Broadway, with thousands of lives being touched. But we did not come to New York City simply to build a church. We came to do what Jesus would have done: to minister to the poor, the hungry, the homeless, the addicted, the worst among sinners.

We rejoice that God is enabling us to bring Christ’s redeeming gospel to many who once were considered hopeless by every human measure. A small army has already been saved from the streets, and every day more and more are being rescued.

GOD IS PROVING HIS POWER OVER ALL THE DESTRUCTIVE FORCES OF HELL. And he will show his power on your behalf, too, in the trial you are facing. Amen!
