RE: Identity in Christ vs Identity of this World

Our identity as believers IS in CHRIST JESUS, not this world. An unbeliever’s identity is in the empty THINGS of this world. These are just a few examples:

Identity in celebrity or living vicariously through a celebrity

Identity in self narcissism and power trips of ego

Identity in material things, like brand name clothing, brand name cars

Identity in how much money we have or made in the stock market

Identity in our acquiring of jewelry

Identity in who we know

Identity in our worldly knowledge

Identity in where we live

Identity in a career and what we do for a living

Identity in the amount of sexual partners one has had

Identity in the education that we received

Identity in the bad things/sins we have committed

Identity in living vicariously through who our children are and what they do

Identity in the accolades we receive

The many things of this world can never satisfy as one can see the constant binging and purging of the things of this world. It is a bottomless pit that can never be filled. Those who are without Christ, keep seeking the world for more to gratify the insatiable lust for things ungodly, to “get their high” and to escape the reality of their lives. These people are sick and do not realize it! They desperately need The Great Physician to heal them of their illness of sin of which there is NO cure, except to believe in HIM!

A life without God is spiritually empty

lifeless—what purpose will it serve?

Satan and his minions deceiving us?

They’ve got some nerve!

The things of this World

These are ALL idols of Babylon

These idols perched high on a pedestal for all to see

worship and believe in—empty as they may be.

All idols will fall from their lofty perch

only to crash to smithereens

Oh, Babylon is fallen! Is fallen!

Who will wash you clean?

No one—not one!

Some have betrayed you

or the population wiped out or raptured

Disappeared–they cannot be seen!

Mystery Babylon, O Thou hast fallen from thine lofty perch

Pride formed against you before your fall

He came to stain your garments with ruin

and sin that will never come out at all

You bathe yourself in your own tears of fear and realization

that no one will come to the aid of the whore of Revelation

because you bound yourself to the abomination of desolation

You and all things evil will fall to your own desecration

You have succeeded in casting your spell of deception,

webs of desire of things ungodly onto those of the world

like Tinkerbell waving her magic wand of fairy dust

blinding people to the truth of what you really are—a Jezebel girl!

You are like the wicked witch in Snow White

an ice queen with beauty like porcelain

which is no comparison to the restored

enhanced beauty of God’s New Jerusalem

Your time of basking in the reflected glory of Satan has come to an end

Truth is that your sordid ugliness was starting to show

through the cracks of imitation light that bathed your persona

You are losing your ominous glow

The pure blackness of the evil of your heart

can now be readily seen

and you are in fact the bride of the devil

as you have always been

Just like Jesus has His bride

you are the bride of the fallen one

doing his bidding, weaving your web

around those you have deceptively won

You–black widow waiting to pounce

and suck the marrow of life through

whether they were for you or against you

You and your evil kind’s glory, you will lose every ounce

To you and Satan

Gone are your days of roaming to and fro

Into the Ring of Fire

You and your evil nightmarish husband will go!

The World tells us we should strive to be who WE want to be. God tells us we should strive to be who GOD wants us to be! Satan gives us promises that return empty. God’s Word and Promises never return void (empty). Satan and this world gives us nothing. God gives us EVERYTHING!

Let us not be victims of our Babylonian culture, but instead BE victors in Christ Jesus! This New Age will soon come to an abrupt and harsh end and I am looking forward to the Dawning of Christ’s Millennial Kingdom to begin! Hallelujah! © 2009

Who I am in Christ

In Christ I am a child of God and born of God (John 1:1213)

In Christ I am saved by His life (Romans 5:10)

In Christ I am free from condemnation (Romans 8:1)

In Christ I am an heir of God, joint heir with Christ (Romans 8:17)

In Christ I am a saint (Romans 8:27)

In Christ I am accepted (Romans 15:7)

In Christ I am a possessor of the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 5:17)

In Christ I am a new creation, a brand new person (2 Corinthians 5:17)

In Christ I am the righteousness of God (2 Corinthians 5:21)

In Christ I am blessed with EVERY spiritual blessing (Ephesians 1:3)

In Christ I am loved and chosen by God (Ephesians 1:4)

In Christ I am adopted as a child of God (Ephesians 1:5)

In Christ I am God’s masterpiece, His work of art, created for good works (Ephesians 2:10)

In Christ I am a member of God’s own Family (Ephesians 2:19)

In Christ I am a citizen of Heaven (Philippians 3:20)

In Christ I am capable (Philippians 4:3)

In Christ I am holy and blameless without a single fault (Colossians 1:22)

In Christ I am complete (Colossians 2:10)

In Christ I am alive and forgiven of ALL my sins (Colossians 2:13)

In Christ I am a member of a royal priesthood (1 Peter 2:9)

In Christ I am a partaker of God’s divine nature (2 Peter 1:4)

In Christ I am a recipient of eternal life (1 John 5:11-13)

In Christ I am released and freed from my sins (Revelation 1:5)

All of these blessings are available to you because of what Jesus Christ has already done when He died on the Cross for you and when He resurrected so that we would ALL be alive with Him in Heaven. It is obvious to see which identity is better. The Identity of Christ Jesus will always prevail over the Identity of the World!
