The Lord has impressed upon this writer for many years now the need for us to be continually watching. So when you read the posts here you see “be watching” over and over and over again. If you have ever asked “how do we watch?” This post is for you.

Matt 26:36 Then Jesus went with his disciples to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to them, “Sit here while I go over there and pray.” 37 He took Peter and the two sons of Zebedee along with him, and he began to be sorrowful and troubled.

38 Then he said to them, “My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me.”

39 Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.”

40 Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping. “Could you men not keep watch with me for one hour?” he asked Peter.

41 “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the body is weak.”

Keep watch “with me” the Lord said and what was the Lord doing? He way praying…

Colossians 4:2
… Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;

Continue and watch in prayer is what “watch in the same” means here ^^^

1 Peter 4:7
… But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer. …

^^^ Here it is said directly “watch unto prayer”

Jesus was praying and he told the disciples “keep watch with me.” So how was Jesus “watching?” He was watching in and through prayer. Why prayer? The sight needed to do the watching Jesus commanded us to do is spiritual sight.

Spiritual things are seen with spiritual eyes and this is done through prayer as demonstrated by our Lord.

PART TWO

The Exodus Psalms…….The Departure

Psalm 42 – 72

Psalm 42…….This Psalm correlates with 1942. When the United States entered the Second World War, the American people threw their whole energies and expertise into winning the war and bringing peace to the world. That time was America’s finest hour!

Never before or since has this country gleamed so brightly as during those war years when this entire nation was fighting for “right and justice and truth.” All over this nation manufacturing plants were converted to producing the ammunition, weapons, planes, and ships that were needed to “win the war.”

As a young boy at that time, I can still remember men and boys lining up at the recruiting centers in December of 1941 and early 1942 to “join up” to fight the enemy. I didn’t just “hear” about the patriotism of the American people. I SAW IT! I saw grown men break down and cry like babies when they came from the recruiting centers after being classified as “4-F,” meaning that they were declared medically unfit to serve in the military.

I saw the churches of America FILLED [often standing room only] with people praying for our boys in the military who were fighting the Germans in Europe and the Japanese on the islands in the Pacific. As a young boy growing up in America I was “proud” of my country and my fellow Americans. It was great to be an American!

Oh, what a contrast with the America I see today! What have we as a nation and a people become today? The inspired Word of God still says, “Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people,” Proverbs 14:34. How far we have fallen over these past 69 years since 1942. May God have mercy on the American people living today!

In 1942 U.S. bases were hastily established in England and other countries and a steady bombardment of the German occupation forces in Europe began. That year the entire tide of the war in Europe began to change. It is not just “coincidence” that “42” is the Bible number associated with “the coming of Christ” all through the Scriptures. The God of Heaven was working out His own “time line” leading up to the end of the age. Believe it!

Now study this 42^nd Psalm carefully. Notice how the Jews in the concentration camps in Europe continued to cry out to God for deliverance from their evil captors in verse after verse in this Psalm. But also notice their rising “faith” that the God of Israel would deliver them, “O my God, my soul is cast down within me: therefore will I remember Thee from the land of Jordan, and of the Hermonites, from the hill of Mizar,” 42:6.

Those suffering Jews were turning their hearts towards their own ancient homeland. A burning desire was springing up in their hearts and minds to go “home,” even as the war continued to rage around them. Since that time I have personally heard Jews who survived the concentration camps say that they rejoiced when the bombs were falling from the American and RAF planes, for they knew that the God of Israel had heard their cries and was bringing about their deliverance. Glory to God!

Now let’s go forward again to…….

Psalm 46……This Psalm correlates with 1946. What brought an end to the Second World War in 1945? Anyone who lived back then, or those who have studied the history of the war, knows the answer.

In Europe the German military was sorely beaten and driven out of one occupied country after another by the Allied Forces under the command of General Dwight D. Eisenhower, forcing the German army to retreat back into their own country.

The bombardment of Germany continued right until the day the Russian military marched into Berlin, and Adolph Hitler committed suicide rather than be taken alive. The war in Europe ended in May, 1945. Three months later in August two atomic bombs were dropped on Japan and the Second World War was over.

Now is it just “coincidence” that the end of that war is described in detail in Psalm 46? Read 46:1-5 keeping in mind that the Jewish year OVERLAPS the Gentile calendar year. Notice verse 6 explicitly stating, “The heathen [Gentiles] raged, the kingdoms were moved: He uttered His voice, the earth melted.”

Numerous times in God’s Word it is stated that “the voice of the Lord” is like “mighty thunder.” See 1 Samuel 2:10, Job 26:14, 40:9, Psalm 18:13, 29:1-11, 37:2-5, 104:7, John 12:28-29, and several passages in Revelation. What do our readers think the explosion of the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki sounded like when they exploded in the sky over those cities? And what was the result of those explosions? The “earth melted” and was “moved.” Is God’s Word “up to date” or not?

In 46:8-9 the Psalmist wrote, “Come, behold the works of the Lord, what desolations He hath made in the earth. He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; He breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; He burneth the chariot in the fire.” And so He did!

At one time or another it is highly likely that every reader has seen photos of the “desolations” that existed in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan after the explosions of the atomic bomb, and photos of the cities of Europe laying in ruins after the war ended. Remember that these Psalms were written 3,000 years ago, and yet they describe perfectly the actual conditions that existed in Europe and Japan at the end of the Second World War.

Even to the fact that when the war ceased, there was not a single war being fought any where on earth at that precise time. No, it didn’t remain that way long! Why? Because it is impossible for wicked, unbelieving, Christ rejecting humanity to live in peace with one another; “But the wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt. There is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked,” Isaiah 57:20-21.

Yet right after Japan surrendered bringing the Second World War to an end, there was no war going on anywhere on earth, totally verifying this Psalm. Lift up your voice and give glory to God for giving to mankind His wonderful Word! Glory to God! Hallelujah! Praise the Lord!

Immediately after stating these truths, the Lord then commanded humanity to “Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen [Gentiles; nations], I will be exalted in the earth,” 46:10. I can only wish that humanity had taken this command of the Lord to heart after the Second World War. But they didn’t!

Keep in mind that all through each of the Psalms are statements which will obviously have a greater prophetic fulfillment at the end of the age, even though each Psalm has a peculiar correlation with the year indicated by the number of the Psalm.

Now before proceeding let’s take a closer look at the aftermath of the Second World War. We will call this inserted section of our study…….

The Exodus

After the Second World War ended in Europe in May of 1945, hundreds of Jews who had survived the Holocaust left Europe seeking to find a measure of peace in some other place. Their

homes were gone, their fortunes were gone, their businesses were gone, their jobs were gone, and in many cases their families and relatives were gone.

In some places in Europe where before the war there had been a large Jewish population, there were only two or three surviving Jews left in a whole town or city. In many Jewish families only one or two members of a family had survived the terrible genocide perpetrated against the Jewish people by Hitler and his depraved Nazi thugs.

Some of the Jews who had survived the Holocaust came to America, some went to Canada, some to South America, and some to various other nations. All of them were trying to escape the memories of the horror them and their loved ones had been subjected to in Europe.

But the hearts and minds of many of the Jewish survivors in Europe turned towards their own ancient homeland. They realized that they would never be “safe” as a people while dwelling in the Gentile nations of the earth. Their heads and their hearts were telling them to “go home.”

Once again, the Word of the Lord had written the headlines of the day some 2,600 years in advance, “Turn, O backsliding children, saith the Lord; for I am married unto you: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion,” Jeremiah 3:14.

And just as this Scripture predicted their return so many centuries in advance, that is exactly what happened. A great EXODUS from Europe on the part of thousands of European Jews began right after the war ended.

The Second World War ended in Europe in May of 1945. For the next THREE YEARS Jews left Europe bound for their ancestral homeland in what had come to be called “Palestine.” Sadly, the British “Lion,” who still maintained a “Mandate” over the holy land, reacted negatively.

The British government imposed a blockade at the borders of “Palestine” and refused to admit any Jew trying to enter the country by land. This blockade effectively forced the Jews leaving Europe to cross the sea to reach their ancient homeland. For the next THREE YEARS the Jews crossed the Mediterranean Sea to get “home.”

The British attempted to blockade the sea routes by guarding the beaches and searching incoming boats. But this didn’t stop the “homesick” Jews from coming. They came in every conceivable kind of boat by day and by night. Boats were built in Europe with secret compartments in them to conceal Jews hidden in those compartments from the prying eyes of the British authorities.

The Jews who had already reached the holy land set up an intelligence network of their own to inform incoming Jews of locations all along the coast that were not being guarded by the British at a given time. The Jews outsmarted the British authorities at every turn. Thousands of Jews returned “home” during those THREE YEARS.

While this Exodus from Europe was going on, the Jews in the holy land were giving the British authorities “fits” through acts of terrorism. They made it so hard on the British authorities in charge of the “Mandate” over “Palestine” that Great Britain decided to turn the “Mandate” back to the United Nations, the successor to the original League of Nations. In May of 1948 the British flag was lowered and the British pulled out of the Holy Land.

Surely our readers who seriously study God’s Word can recognize the correlation between the Exodus of the Israelites from the land of Egypt 3,500 years ago, and the Exodus of the Jews from Europe.

Some 3,500 years ago the Israelites left the land of Egypt and traveled by day and by night [Exodus 13:21-22] THREE DAYS under “the shadow of death” to reach the Red Sea. On the evening of Abib [Nisan] 17, which according to Jewish reckoning was the beginning of Abib 18, they crossed the sea [the Red Sea] during the night. On the morning of Abib 18 they stood on the east bank of the Red Sea A FREE PEOPLE, having been “resurrected” from their burial in the sea during the night. Does this also remind our readers of the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ after THREE DAYS in the tomb?

It should, for the flight of the Israelites from Egypt was a type of the Lord’s death, burial, and resurrection, and also typified the Exodus of New Testament believers from this present evil world through our faith in and identity with Christ. Read it for yourself in 1 Corinthians 10:1-11. Glory to God! Hallelujah! Praise the Lord!

But prophetically the Exodus of the Israelites from ancient Egypt also typified the Exodus of the Jewish people out from among the Gentile nations of the world, an Exodus which is still unfolding today, Micah 7:14-16. Remember that after the ancient Israelites crossed the Red Sea they still had to wander 40 years in the wilderness because of their unbelief. “40” is the Bible number for “testing or trial.” This is where Israel and the Jewish people are at today spiritually; “wandering in the wilderness” because of their failure to trust their God completely.

Now let’s go forward to…….

Psalm 47…….This Psalm correlates with 1947. Study it carefully! Notice that it is a Psalm of triumph and rejoicing on the part of the Jews, 47:1-2. The British in either 1946 or 1947 [I don’t recall the year] announced their intention to turn the “Mandate” back over to the United Nations.

The U.N. then on August 30^th – 31^st, 1947 voted to partition the land of “Palestine” into two separate states, one for the Jews and one for the Arabs. This was exactly 50 years to the day after Theodor Herzl had convened the First Jewish Congress in 1897 to seek out a “homeland” for the Jewish people.

After 1,877 years since 70 A.D. a Jewish “remnant” representing the people of Israel had finally “returned home” and they needed a country of their own. The Lord God of Israel moved the hearts and minds of wicked men in the U.N. to make it possible, 47:7-8.

Notice that in 47:3-4 the Jews living at that time were absolutely confident about reestablishing their own nation, believing that “the Lord most high” would “subdue the peoples under us, and the nations under our feet. He shall choose our inheritance for us, the excellency of Jacob whom He loved.”

Almost immediately a group of Jewish leaders began assembling an “interim government” to reestablish the nation of Israel and serve as the nation’s “princes” [rulers] until elections could be held in the new nation. Is it just “coincidence” that this assembly of Jewish leaders is explicitly referred to in 47:9? Not hardly!

Now let’s look at…….

Psalm 48…….This Psalm correlates with 1948. The United Nations and many heads of governments strongly advised the “princes” of the Jewish people against establishing the nation of Israel when the British pulled out of “Palestine.”

They warned those Jewish leaders that the Arab nations in the region would rise up against the Jews and totally wipe them out. This reminds serious Bible students of the warning given by Sanballat and Tobiah and their wicked followers in the days of Ezra and Nehemiah, Nehemiah 4:1-3; 6:1-14.

Nevertheless, those Jewish leaders were not to be deterred. On May 14, 1948 [May 15^th in Israel] the British authority ruling “Palestine” lowered the British flag from the pole in front of the Hall of Justice in Tel Aviv.

Immediately David Ben Gurion and his companions stepped up to that same flag pole and ran THE FLAG OF ISRAEL up the pole. Ben Gurion then read a prepared statement declaring that the Sovereign Nation of Israel was once more taking its rightful place among the nations of the world for the first time since 70 A.D. This occurred exactly THREE YEARS to the month after the Second World War had ended in Europe. The EXODUS of the Jews from Europe was over!

On that 14^th day of May, 1948 the Jews began fulfilling Ezekiel’s prophecy of the Vision of the Valley of Dry Bones, Ezekiel 37:1-28. Yes, the Jews that had returned were still in a state of unbelief exactly as prophesied. But the Lord had brought “bone to his bone,” and had given the Jews “sinews” and “flesh” and covered them with “skin,” 37:7-8.

In other words, they now had been given organized structure as a “political body” in the world. Since the first part of this vision began to be fulfilled exactly as given, there is no reason not to believe that the “breath” of the “spirit of life” will not also be given to the Jewish people at the time appointed of the Lord for their spiritual redemption.

Oh, glory to God! Hallelujah! Praise the Lord! The God of Israel LIVES! He is my God and Father, and by the grace of God He can be yours too! If you are already a true believer, then read Ruth 1:16-17 and let the truth stated there permeate your soul.

Study this 48^th Psalm carefully. In verses 4-6 it is stated, “For, lo, the kings were assembled, they passed by together. They saw it, and so they marveled; they were troubled, and hasted away. Fear took hold upon them there, and pain, as of a woman in travail.”

The “princes” of Israel, David Ben Gurion and other Jewish leaders, had not hidden their intention to establish the nation of Israel when the British pulled out. The “kings” [rulers] of the Arab nations immediately plotted together to attack the Jews simultaneously the day after the nation of Israel was established.

Syria on the north and Egypt on the south, Jordan on the east, and other Arab nations had their troops ready to attack right on schedule. The Arab Muslim nations had formed a confederation and assembled their troops right on the borders of Israel in view of launching an attack the very next morning after Israel became a nation.

Israel was at a distinct disadvantage. Israel had no formal government, no military, no planes, no guns, no tanks, not much of anything to fight with other than the personal weapons of their people. But the Jewish people did have courage, faith in the God of Israel, and their God given ingenuity. So they devised a plan that was so simple only a miracle of God could make it work. And work it did! Praise the Lord!

The Jews knew that the Arab nations were planning to attack them on the morning of May 16^th. So on the night of May 15^th, under the cover of darkness, every automobile and truck in Israel, every taxi, every bus, every tractor, every bulldozer, every piece of road building equipment, even farm equipment, every piece of machinery that had an engine on it that would run and make a noise was drafted into service for the new nation of Israel.

The exhaust mufflers were removed, the engines were started, and the lights were turned on. All night long those vehicles and machinery were driven up and down the coast and all through the highways and streets of Israel.

The exhausts were bellowing with the sounds reverberating off the hills and mountains. Thousands of Jews were shouting back and forth to one another as if they were barking orders. In the dark of the night it appeared that the population of the whole land of Israel was on the move.

The Arab military leaders and their troops were watching all this activity going on from their positions on the borders of Israel. As those Arab military leaders observed all of the activity in Israel, just as this Psalm says, “They saw…..they marveled…..they were troubled…..and hasted away. Fear took hold upon them…..pain, as of a woman in travail,” 48:5-6.

The Arab military leaders and their troops in watching all the activity going on in Israel in the dark of the night assumed that a great army was being imported into Israel during the night. They reasoned that the Jews had hired the U.S. or Great Britain or some other country to fight for them against the Arab forces.

The Arab leaders assumed that all the lights and sounds and movement was due to ships unloading troops and tanks and guns, and taking up positions throughout the land of Israel. What those Arab leaders saw that night terrified them. During the night the Arab leaders made the decision to retreat. The Arab armies broke ranks and retreated in panic. When the morning dawned there was not a single Arab soldier to be seen anywhere. They were all gone!

This ingenious plan gave the new nation of Israel about a two week “breathing spell” to get organized and obtain the weapons they needed before they had to fight their War of Independence. Glory to God! Isn’t the God of Israel great? Hallelujah! Praise the Lord!

If any reader doubts that this actually happened, and thinks I have just “made up” this story, you better think again. Every word of this account can be verified by researching the early history of the birth of modern Israel. And remember, it was prophesied to occur right here in this 48^th Psalm written 3,000 years in advance. Praise the Lord! Those readers who are true believers should never forget that

“…..God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to

confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to

confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: That no flesh should glory in His presence,” 1 Corinthians 1:27-29.

Hallelujah! Praise the Lord!

Notice also 48:11-13. In these verses the Jews are admonished to, “Walk about Zion, and go round about her…..” Verse 13 explicitly instructs them, “Mark ye well her bulwarks, consider her palaces; that ye may tell it to the generation following.”

This is a fascinating statement. If our readers will look up the Hebrew words translated as “the generation following” in their Concordance or Lexicon, it will be seen that this statement literally means, “the last generation.”

In other words, right here in the inspired Word the Lord placed a “time marker” for His people. What occurred when Israel became a nation again in 1948 was to be told to “the last generation” in this present dispensation.

This clearly implies that the final or “last generation” was swiftly approaching. Now think about how much time has passed since then. At what time then would this “last generation” begin? Carefully study the Parable of the Fig Tree given by the Lord Jesus Christ Himself in Matthew 24:32-35, and you will find the answer.

Dear readers, we who are true believers are living RIGHT NOW in the “last generation” in this present dispensation, yea, even at the end of it, and our Lord’s coming is “right at the door,” Revelation 3:8; 4:1. He is coming to take all true New Testament believers “home” to glory, and renew His covenant with Israel, Revelation 3:10. Are you ready? Glory to God! Hallelujah! Praise the Lord!

Now let’s move on to…….

Psalm 49…….This Psalm correlates with 1949. Israel’s War of Independence was brought to a successful conclusion in 1949, and a temporary “peace” settled over the whole region. But that is not the main emphasis in this Psalm. Rather, notice that in 49:1-2 the Lord called for the attention of “…all ye inhabitants of the world: both low and high, rich and poor, together.” The Lord in this Psalm had two revelations that He wanted to make known to all humanity.

The first revelation is contained in 49:3-4, “My mouth shall speak of wisdom; and the meditation of my heart shall be of understanding. I will incline mine ear to a parable: I will open my dark saying upon the harp.”

The Hebrew words translated as “dark saying” in this Scripture literally means “hidden sayings.” Look it up in your Concordance or Lexicon for yourself. Every serious student of Bible prophecy knows that immediately after Israel became a nation in 1948, the Lord began “opening up” the end-time prophecies of His Word exactly as prophesied in Daniel 12:4.

Prophecies which had been in the Word in plain sight all through the centuries suddenly began to “come alive,” opening up meanings and revealing truths which were never understood by previous generations of believers. These “hidden sayings” have continued to be “opened up” to those of God’s people who have seriously studied the Word all through these past 63 years since Israel became a nation. Glory to God! Praise the Lord!

The second revelation in 49:6-20 pulls the cover off the ultra-rich Illuminists, pointing out to all humanity that these wicked men are the enemies of God and of Israel, and that they are the “movers and shakers” who are really running the governments of the world “behind the scenes.”

It is these wicked men who create wars, manipulate the world economy, control world politics, finance the world drug traffic, enslave and oppress the nations, corrupt the world judicial systems, promote atheism and other evils in the worlds school systems, seek to corrupt everything and everyone who stands for God’s righteousness and truth, and who are behind the breakdown of morals and ethics in nations all over the earth.

Read again Psalm 11:2-6 and 12:1-4. And why do they do these things? For money and power, 49:6. These wicked men have actually convinced themselves that they will live forever, 49:11. Notice that the Lord God Himself refers to these wicked men in this Psalm as “fools” and “brutes,” 49:10.

Sadly, most of humanity has totally ignored these two revelations given by the Lord in this

49^th Psalm and continues to walk in their own spiritual ignorance and darkness right to this hour. Is it then just “coincidence” that we living today see these prophetic revelations, given by the Lord some 3,000 years in advance, being fulfilled right before our eyes today? Well…??

Now let’s go to…….

Psalm 56…….This Psalm correlates with 1956. This was 8 years after Israel became a nation, and the year of Israel’s second war. In 1956 Israel was forced to go to war again in what historians now refer to as “The Suez Canal War.”

This war over Israel’s right for her ships to use the Suez Canal is alluded to in statement after statement in this 56^th Psalm and also in Psalm 57. Study both of these Psalms carefully. The Suez Canal war was settled by the intervention of the major “superpower” nations. While the war was obviously another attempt on the part of the Arab Muslim nations to destroy Israel, the Lord God of Heaven once again gave Israel victory, 56:13; 57:2-3; 57:6. Glory to God!

But now let’s move forward to…….

Psalm 67…….This Psalm correlates with 1967. This is a Psalm of praise for the Lord, not only by Israel, but by “all the peoples” who love Israel and the Jewish people. This Psalm looks forward to the time in the future when “all the peoples” on the earth will love and praise and serve the Lord in righteousness and truth as the Lord Himself will “govern the nations upon earth,” 67:4. Glory to God!

1967 was the year of Israel’s third war, just 19 years after becoming a nation in 1948. “19” is the Bible number associated with “faith” all through the Scriptures. The whole world was made to marvel in 1967 when little Israel defeated in just six days the combined hordes of the Arab armies which rose up to destroy them.

During the “Six Day War,” the whole city of Jerusalem including the Temple mount, the west bank, the Golan Heights, and the Sinai Peninsula, were all conquered by the Israeli Defense Forces and restored to the nation of Israel. Again, it is not just “coincidence” that this war occurred exactly 50 years after Jerusalem was freed from the Turks in 1917. 1967 – 1968 was a Jubilee year exactly as 1917 – 1918 had been. “50” is the Bible number for “the Jubilee” all through the Scriptures, Leviticus 25:8-13.

The Six Day War was also the time when “the fig tree…….putteth forth leaves,” Matthew 24:32-35. Israel is symbolized by the “the fig tree” in the Scriptures regardless of whether some want to believe it or not. I can read just as well as most folks and better than some, and Jeremiah 24:5-6 and Hosea 9:10 are stated so clearly that it is undeniable that these inspired passages attach the symbolism of the “fig tree” to Israel. Those who attempt to deny this truth are absolutely denying the plain statements of God’s Word. PERIOD!

I am laboring this point because the Lord Jesus Christ Himself explicitly stated that the “generation” living at the time “the fig tree…….putteth forth leaves” [expands its territory] would not “pass away” [die off] before “the kingdom of God” is established on this earth, Matthew 24:32-35.

Read these exact words for yourself in Luke’s account of the Lord’s same discourse in Luke 21:29-33. I personally was living at the time the Six Day War occurred, and therefore am a part of “this generation.” This ought to tell every true believer how very close we are to the end of the age and the coming of Christ to resurrect and rapture His New Testament believers to glory. If you are a true believer, then look at this through spiritual eyes. The “lights” of “home” are now in sight. Hallelujah! Praise the Lord! Glory to God!

At that very time in 1967 Israel should have rebuilt their Temple and turned to the Lord with their whole heart, for their Temple mount and much land had been restored to them. Sadly, their own “faithless” secular leaders betrayed them, just as their “faithless” leaders betrayed them 3,500 years ago in Numbers 13 – 14. Study this account again and see the amazing parallel between ancient Israel and modern Israel. Notice especially Numbers 14:26-35. In 1967 these “faithless” secular leaders gave the Temple mount back to the Muslims along with most of the conquered territories in order to “curry favor” with the Muslims and the nations.

Appeasement never works! Because of the decision made by those “faithless” secular leaders, Israel went into their modern 40 plus years of “wilderness wanderings.” This is where they are still at today as a nation and a people: “wandering in the wilderness.”

I again remind our readers that the Jewish years OVERLAP the Gentile years. The details of the Six Day War are actually set forth in Psalm 68. Both of these Psalms should be studied carefully, for both contain details verifying the correlation of these Psalms with the years, 1967 and 1968, and both Psalms also set forth additional prophecies yet to be fulfilled.

GOD’S OWN TIME LINE moves forward in each of these inspired Psalms. Praise the Lord!

Time lines! Time lines! Time lines!

We have arrived at “the end of the age!” Every serious student of Bible prophecy knows that. There is no argument whatsoever about this among those who are seriously studying Bible prophecy today.

But there is a controversy going on, and it is all about whose “time line” is correct. Today the ranks of Christianity are being bombarded with “time lines.”

The authors of each of these “time lines” claim that their “time line” is the only one which accurately sets forth the “dates” which give reliable insight into the prophetic events of the end time.

Wow! Isn’t this exciting? D-u-u-h-h…..

I am writing this study to encourage those of God’s people who are truly serious about studying Bible prophecy to study and accept the ONLY “time line” that really matters; GOD’S OWN TIME LINE.

Time Line Confusion

Today “time lines” setting forth a seven year Tribulation period are in competition with “time lines” setting forth a three and a half year Tribulation. The authors of each competing “time line” claim to have been “led by the Holy Spirit” in preparing their “time line.” Oh, is that so…??

Then there are “time lines” that claim that the seven year Tribulation began in 2008 and will end in 2015 or 2016. This “time line” places all the Tribulation events within the frame work of the eclipses that are predicted to occur in 2014, 2015, and 2016. How very convenient!

Some “time lines” insist that the Tribulation can only begin on a Jewish Holy Day. Other “time lines” totally ignore the Jewish Holy Days and the Jewish calendar and rely only on the “count of days” set forth in Daniel 8:13-14 and 12:11-12. Of course, these “day counts” are applied a dozen different ways in different “time lines,” depending on who prepared the “time line.” Oh my!

There are also “time lines” claiming that the Tribulation cannot begin before December 21, 2012. These “time lines” are obviously an accommodation to the ancient calendar of the pagan Mayans and the “dates” presumed to be set forth in the Great Pyramid in Egypt.

I have always thought New Testament believers should be living by and following the inspired Word of God. It grieves me that some in the ranks of Christianity today now place as much or even more value on the utterances of Paganism as they do on God’s inspired Word. May the Lord have mercy!

Of course there are also “time lines” which claim that the Tribulation period is already past, having supposedly ended in 70 A.D. The authors of these “time lines” claim that we believers are now going to “take the world for Christ.” Once “we” accomplish that glorious task, life will become so good here on earth that the Lord just can’t stand to remain in Heaven any longer, and will return to resurrect the dead and reign gloriously in the kingdom that “we” have brought in for Him. Pardon me, but I think I am going to be sick. Barf! Barf!

Dear readers, anyone with spiritual sense above a goose knows that all of these conflicting and contradictory “time lines” cannot be right, and that ONLY what the inspired Scriptures actually and literally say and teach is still the inerrant and infallible truth. “For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints,” 1 Corinthians 14:33.

The truth is that many in the ranks of Christianity today are acting more like immature children competing with one another for the “lime light,” than mature grown up “sons of God” whose only desire is that the truth of God’s Word prevail to the glory of the Lord.

This is quite a dilemma! Is there a solution to this problem? A solution that true believers can trust and rely on? Certainly! Why not just lay aside all of these man-made “time lines” and go by and rely on….

GOD’S OWN TIME LINE..…???

The Book of Psalms is one of the greatest books of prophecy to be found in the entire Bible. I can and will in this study, PROVE this statement to any reader who has a mind open to the truth of God’s Word. Sadly, most Christians have never regarded the Psalms as anything more than the inspired hymn book of Israel and the Jewish people, and a good source of “devotional” material. It is so much more than that! In this series of studies I want to point out this truth for my readers.

The Book of Psalms is the 19^th book in the Old Testament. Count the books for yourself. “19” is the Bible number associated with “faith” all through the Scriptures. Keep this in mind as you read this series of studies.

There are five divisions in the Book of Psalms, which the religious Jews have claimed for centuries correspond with the Jewish Torah, the first five books of the Bible; Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. These five divisions are clearly marked in most good reference Bibles today. In case your Bible does not mark these divisions, they are as follows:

Genesis

That the Psalms are prophetic is clearly and explicitly stated in the inspired Word of God, a fact which is commonly overlooked by many of God’s people. Keep in mind that the Psalms are the inspired song book of Israel and the Jewish people. Now read these Scriptures for yourself and believe…..

“Moreover David and the captains of the host separated to the service of the sons of Asaph, and of Heman, and of Jeduthin, who should prophesy with harps, with psalteries, and with cymbals: and the number of the workmen according to their service was;

Of the sons of Asaph; Zaccur, and Joseph, and Nethaniah, and Asarelah, the sons of Asaph under the hands of Asaph, which prophesied according to the order of the king.

Of Jeduthun: the sons of Jeduthun; Gedaliah, and Zeri, and Jeshaiah, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, six, under the hands of their father Jeduthun, who prophesied with a harp, to give thanks and to praise the Lord,” 1 Chronicles 25:1-3.

Now if our readers will carefully examine the Psalms, they will find these same men mentioned by name in various Psalms numerous times. These men were giving inspired prophecies as they sang and played on the harp and other musical instruments in the days of King David. Many or perhaps all of their inspired prophetic songs were then later included in The Book of Psalms. Praise the Lord!

But of what do the Psalms prophesy? The Psalms correlate with the years of the 20^th and 21^st

centuries on the Gentile calendar, and are prophetic of the events occurring in each of the years in these centuries indicated by the number of the Psalm.

By this statement I literally mean that Psalm 1 correlates with 1901, Psalm 2 with 1902, Psalm 3 with 1903, and so forth in ascending order just as the years of each century are also in ascending order. Each of the Psalms also consistently looked forward to and prophesied of future events which would occur right up to the end of the age, the return of Christ, and the establishment of God’s kingdom upon the earth. Glory to God!

The Book of Psalms is one of the greatest books of prophecy in the Bible, and yet the great prophecies in the Psalms are commonly overlooked or ignored by most Christians today. This is sad because the Psalms set forth GOD’S OWN TIME LINE! Now I will PROVE what I have just stated…..

PART ONE

The Genesis Psalms…….The Beginning

Psalms 1 – 41

NOTE: I would love to point out the prophetic truths in every Psalm correlating with the year indicated by the number of the Psalm. However, if I did so it would require writing a book, which I have neither the time nor the inclination to do. Therefore, in order to save time I am going to emphasize only selected Psalms which set forth historical events which are prophetically important.

Keep in mind that the main emphasis in all of the Psalms sets forth a prophetic picture of the Lord leading unbelieving Israel and the Jewish people out of the present world system and to redemption in Christ during the 20^th and 21^st centuries of this present era. Study them all! Glory to God!

Psalm 1…….This Psalm correlates with 1901. In the inspired Word the nation and people of Israel, that is, “the Israel of God,” [Galatians 6:16] is often spoken of in the masculine singular gender as if the whole nation of Israel was just one man with whom God is dealing. See Exodus 4:22-23, Psalm 25:22, Jeremiah 31:9, and other similar Scriptures as examples of this truth.

This is why Psalm 1 refers to “the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.” It is a fact that throughout the history of Israel, even in times when the nation as a whole went into apostasy, there were always some individual Jews who continued to fear and serve the Lord and hold His Word in their hearts.

These God fearing believing Jews are introduced in this 1st Psalm as a male child. The account of this male child’s life and spiritual growth from infancy to manhood to redemption in Christ, representing “the Israel of God” during the 20^th and 21^st centuries is then portrayed throughout the rest of The Book of Psalms. Remember this as you study!

No! I DO NOT expect our readers to believe this just because I said so. What I would appreciate on the part of our readers is that they carefully read AND STUDY what follows to see if I PROVE the premise which I am setting forth. If I fail to do so, then I ask no reader to accept it. But if I do demonstrate that it is Scriptural truth, then those who refuse to accept it will have no one but themselves to blame for the consequences. Fair enough?

Psalm 2…….This Psalm correlates with 1902. Just as wicked King Herod conspired to destroy the Lord Jesus Christ in the 2^nd year of His birth [Matthew 2:1-23], so in the second year of the 20^th century “The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against His Anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us,” Psalm 2:2-3.

Here in the 2^nd year of the 20^th century the wicked rulers of the nations began “conspiring” together to set up a New World Order [one world government] which would not be bound in any way by the moral and ethical codes of what the wicked refer to as the “mythical God” of the Jewish people.

It doesn’t take much spiritual sense to understand that if these wicked kings and rulers [Illuminists] desired to break the bands and cast away the cords that they felt were imposed upon them by the God of the Bible, then they also had to have a hatred for the Jewish people through whom the Bible had been given to humanity. 1 + 1 still equals 2. Simple logic! This explains the hatred for the Jewish people by the present world system.

Yet don’t fail to notice that right here in Psalm 2:6-9, in the 2^nd year of the 20^th century, the Lord began speaking about and looking forward to His own coming Millennial Kingdom, just as it was spoken about in the 2^nd year after the birth of Christ in Matthew 2:6. Is this just coincidence? Well…??

Now let’s go forward to…..

Psalm 11…….This Psalm correlates with 1911. It is interesting that this 11^th Psalm, written 3,000 years ago, explicitly prophesied that the wickedness of the wicked would continue to increase against “the upright in heart” [both Jews and Gentiles] until the time would come when morals and ethics; “the foundations” which hold any civilized nation and people together would “be destroyed,” 11:2-3. Now study and think carefully about the statements made in this Psalm.

Exactly 100 years later [2011] we who are living today are seeing the moral and ethical “foundations” of society collapsing all around us. Before this present year is over there will be total moral and ethical collapse, not only here in America but in all the countries of the world.

Further, this Psalm even tells us that once these “foundations” are “destroyed” there is NOTHING that “the righteous” can do to change the situation. Rather, the Lord Himself pronounces certain JUDGMENT upon the wicked who have brought mankind to this immoral and unethical state that we see humanity in RIGHT NOW.

Read it for yourself in 11:4-7. Now you tell me…..is it just “coincidence” that what is occurring right before our eyes today was predicted here in this 11^th Psalm 3,000 years ago in the days of King David and King Solomon? Does this sound like Almighty God was laying out HIS OWN TIME LINE for humanity even from ancient times? Read Isaiah 46:9-10 and believe what you read. Glory to God!

Now let’s go again to…..

Psalm 14…….This Psalm correlates with 1914. Any true believer who has ever seriously studied “Judaism,” knows that the young Jewish men take their “Bar Mitzvah” at the age of 13. This Jewish ritual confers upon the adolescent Jewish boy the responsibilities of “manhood,” although at that age he is not yet qualified to be a teacher and leader of men in the Jewish synagogue. Such responsibility is not conferred upon him until he reaches 30 years of age.

In view of this tradition of the Jews it is then interesting that Psalm 14 begins with the words, “The fool hath said in his heart, “There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good,” Psalm 14:1.

The very first question that needs to be resolved in the mind of every Jewish young man after taking his “Bar Mitzvah” is whether God is real or just “symbolic.” Every young man, Jew or Gentile, either has or will at sometime ask themselves, “Is God real?” Not only is God real, but He is the Great King over all of His creation, Psalm 14:2-7; 2:4-12. Only “the fool” fails to learn that all important first basic truth of life.

Sadly, it was three Jews who refused to learn or believe this truth. It was in 1914 that the Communist Party was organized, having rejected God’s Word and having swallowed the corrupt teachings of Karl Marx, a hard hearted, stiff necked, unbelieving Jew.

Two of the “Charter Members” of the Communist Party that year were Joseph Stalin and Vladimir Lenin, both of whom were Jewish apostates. Just three years later in 1917 the Communist Party had become strong enough to overthrow the Russian Tsar and establish the first government in human history whose official governing policy was “ATHEISM.”

The first Communist ruler of “atheistic Russia” was Vladimir Lenin, but he didn’t last long. Joseph Stalin then seized power by murdering his competition [one of the virtues of Communism..??]. Stalin then ruled with “an iron hand” over Russia and the satellite nations Russia conquered until his death in 1954.

Don’t fail to notice that the only two Psalms that begin with this phrase, “The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God,” are Psalm 14 and Psalm 54. The 14^th Psalm notes the year that the Communist Party was organized with Joseph Stalin, the man who would rule over Communist Russia the longest, being one of the charter members.

The 54^th Psalm notes the year Joseph Stalin died, dying as an unrepentant, unbelieving, murderous, blaspheming “fool.” Is it just “coincidence” that these two Psalms correlate with the exact years when Joseph Stalin first publicly appeared on the world scene and the year he died and WENT TO HELL….??

If our readers will carefully study the rest of this 14^th Psalm, verse 2-3 point out that the Lord wasn’t overlooking any of the evil being perpetrated by the Communists and their evil companions, the Bolsheviks. There is little doubt in the minds of historians that this included instigating the First World War in 1914. It is certain that the Communist instigated the “pogroms” against the Jews in Russia which are explicitly described in 14:4. Those “pogroms” in Russia were terrible, but yet they appear to have caused a longing in the heart of the Jews in Europe to return to their ancient “homeland,” 14:7.

Now let’s go forward to…….

Psalm 17…….This Psalm correlates with 1917. Keep in mind that the years on the Jewish calendar OVERLAP the years on our Gentile calendar. This means that the details of some events which prophetically affect the Jewish people are given in both the Psalm which correlates with the year the event actually occurred, and also in the Psalm which follows the year of occurrence.

Every serious student of Bible prophecy knows what happened in relation to the Jewish people in 1917. That year marked the end of World War I. That war was effectively brought to a close when General Allenby, the British General commanding the Allied Forces, drove the Turks out of the land of “Palestine,” as the holy land was then called, thereby bringing an end to the Turkish Ottoman Empire.

The holy city of Jerusalem, the ancient capitol of the Jewish people, was at that time delivered out of the hands of the Turkish forces by the unseen hand of Almighty God Himself. Regardless of the time and space required, I MUST share this truth with those readers today who are not aware of the circumstances of Jerusalem’s deliverance from the Turks in 1917.

The final campaign on the part of the Allied Forces under the command of General Allenby in 1917 swept through North Africa towards the Middle East driving the retreating Turkish forces northward ahead of them. The Allied forces pushed forward through the Sinai into the Middle East and entered the Holy Land. The Turkish forces were driven back and finally retreated all the way to Jerusalem.

Upon reaching Jerusalem the Turkish forces “dug in,” swearing before “Allah” that they would retreat no further but would defend the holy city with their blood to the last man.

Just two weeks previously while still in North Africa, Allenby’s Allied Command had received two airplanes unassembled and boxed up in crates. In 1917 airplanes were still considered an oddity, and these two planes had been shipped to General Allenby accompanied by their pilots and the mechanics necessary to assemble them.

The planes were to be used in spotting where the enemy forces were located on the ground. Significantly, these two airplanes would be the first airplanes ever used in war.

On December 6, 1917 the assembly of these two airplanes was completed. On December 7^th, these two planes were started up and tested. The report was then given to General Allenby that same day that the planes were ready to fly. General Allenby was expecting that a furious battle would be required to take the city of Jerusalem, for he knew that the Turkish Muslim forces had vowed to die to the last man rather than give up the city of Jerusalem.

On the morning of December 8, 1917 General Allenby ordered the two pilots to take their planes to the air and fly over the city of Jerusalem to see exactly where the Turkish forces were “dug in.” At the same time he sent a messenger under a flag of truce to the commanding officer of the Turkish forces demanding the immediate unconditional surrender of his command. Then TWO GREAT MIRACLES occurred simultaneously!

Miracle No. 1…….None of those early airplanes had mufflers on their engines. In building the early planes the engineers were striving for power in the engines. No mufflers! More power! Those two planes flew over the city of Jerusalem that crisp December morning so long ago with the engines bellowing and the sounds echoing back and forth off the mountains in and around the city.

The engines were so loud that the people on the ground could hardly hear one another speaking. The Turkish soldiers were absolutely terrified! They had never previously even seen an airplane. They literally did not know what they were seeing and hearing.

Miracle No. 2…….At approximately the same time the commander of the Turkish forces received the letter which had been sent by General Allenby’s messenger, demanding the unconditional surrender of the Turkish forces. When the Turkish commander read General Allenby’s letter, while he also was looking at and listening to the planes flying overhead, he too became absolutely terrified.

What in the world was going on? I’m so glad you asked!

The Turkish forces had never seen or heard an airplane previously. Therefore being ignorant of airplanes and also highly superstitious, they assumed that the objects flying over their heads and making such a terrifying noise had to be the “angels of God’s wrath.”

Their just as ignorant commanding officer was also reading a letter signed by “Lord General Allenby.” [Allenby had been designated a “Lord” by the British Monarchy]. All of us living today should know that “Allah” is the Muslim term for “God.” But many do not know that “bey” or “ben” is also the Muslim word for “Son.”

What the Turkish commander assumed was that the “angels of God’s wrath” were flying over his head and that “the Lord, the Son of God,” the commanding General of the armies of Heaven, had sent him a letter demanding his immediate unconditional surrender.

Can our readers even begin to imagine the terror that this chain of events struck into the minds and hearts of the Turkish forces and their commander?

In absolute panic the Turkish forces left their positions, their weapons, their supplies, everything, and ran screaming and crying from the city of Jerusalem begging “Allah” in fervent prayer to spare their lives. They headed north towards Turkey as fast as their legs and their camels could carry them.

By the evening of December 9^th, the Turkish forces had deserted the whole city of Jerusalem without even firing a shot at the advancing Allied Forces. December 9^th that year was Hanukkah, the 24^th day of the ninth month on the Jewish calendar, the very day set aside by the Jews hundreds of years previously in commemoration of the deliverance of the city of Jerusalem by the Maccabees. Glory to God!

1917-1918 was also a Jubilee year, a year according to Leviticus 25 when “liberty” was to be proclaimed and every man was to “return unto his possession.” This Jubilee year, 1917-1918, marked the beginning in modern times of the return of the Jews to their ancient homeland. Read Haggai 2:18-19. Glory to God!

Two days later on December 11, 1917 General Allenby mounted a white horse and rode to the Jaffa gate in the wall of Jerusalem. There he dismounted and passing through the Jaffa Gate he walked into the city of Jerusalem. The permanent residents of the city poured out into the streets to meet him, bowing at his feet and doing obeisance to him, believing that the Son of God was walking in the streets of their city.

Glory to God! Hallelujah! Praise the Lord! What a deliverance! What a Savior is our Lord! Let every reader who is a true believer give Him glory and honor and praise!

While it might appear to some readers that this was all just a string of mere “coincidences,” that is not really the case at all. I say without hesitation that It was all brought together by our miracle working God. How can I be so sure?

Because what happened that day in Jerusalem in 1917 was clearly and explicitly prophesied to occur some 2,600 years in advance. Read the prophecy for yourself :

Isaiah 31:4-5, “For thus hath the Lord spoken unto me, Like as the lion [Britain] and the young lion [U.S.] roaring on his prey, when a multitude of shepherds [the Turks] is called forth against him, he will not be afraid of their voice, nor abase himself for the noise of them: so shall the Lord of hosts come down to fight for mount Zion, and for the hill thereof. As birds flying [the airplanes], so will the Lord of hosts defend Jerusalem; defending also He will deliver it; and passing over He will preserve it.”

The city of Jerusalem suffered no destruction whatsoever, but was wonderfully and miraculously delivered and preserved that day in 1917 without a shot being fired. Praise the Lord!

But this isn’t all of the story…….

Psalm 18…….This Psalm correlates with 1918. At that very point in time the holy land should have been returned to the Jewish people, for Great Britain [England] knew that the Jews had been actively seeking a national homeland since Theodor Herzl convened the First Jewish Congress in Basel, Switzerland in 1897.

The Balfour Declaration explicitly stated that the government of Great Britain recognized and “favored” the cause of the Jewish people. But did Great Britain give them back their ancient home land? No, they did not! Instead the British government betrayed the Jewish people because Great Britain wanted territory in the Middle East themselves, and this presented a great opportunity to obtain it.

The British government succeeded in having a great amount of territory in the Middle East placed under “British Mandate.” They did allow the Jews to begin “legally” returning to the holy land in 1918, but then just a few years later actually set up laws limiting the number of Jews who could return.

It is not then just “coincidence” that Psalm 17:8-12 records a warning about the enemies of the Jewish people, which explicitly includes the British “lion” and the “young lion” [the U.S.]. Read the passage for yourself and believe what God’s Word says.

It has long been recognized by God’s people that Psalm 18 speaks about the “suffering Messiah” [18:1-24], but notice that this Psalm also speaks about the “triumphant Messiah,” 18:25-50. Read it carefully. This 18^th Psalm not only prophetically set forth the suffering and crucifixion that Christ would endure at His first coming, but it also prophetically set forth His victory over His enemies and the enemies of His people at His second coming.

Now why would this particular Psalm be inserted into the inspired Word right at this point? I think the answer is obvious! Christ is repeatedly identified with His people throughout both the Old and New Testaments, Matthew 25:40. Psalm 18 portrays in type the suffering that Israel and the Jewish people have had to go through during the 20^th century and are still going through in this 21^st century, with the worst yet to come, 1 Peter 4:13. No, I AM NOT reading something into this Psalm. Does verse 27 explicitly speak of the Lord saving “the afflicted people” or does it not?

Well…?? The “betrayal” and “suffering” of the Jews at the hands of the wicked of the earth has occurred over and over throughout the 20^th century, and their time of “crucifixion” is yet to occur during the coming Tribulation period. But God is faithful, who will deliver them just as He delivered His own Son 2,000 years ago. Study Psalm 17 and 18 together, remembering what has actually happened to the Jewish people in these past 93 years. Careful readers will be amazed at what they see.

Now let’s go forward to…….

Psalm 33…….This Psalm correlates with 1933. Notice carefully that verse 8 sets forth a warning, “Let all the earth fear the Lord: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him.” Why such a warning? Because obviously the whole world in 1933 was not paying attention to the statement made to Abraham, the father of the Jewish people, by the Lord God of Heaven in Genesis 12:3.

In 1933 Adolph Hitler was made Chancellor [dictator] of Germany, and immediately began the persecution of the Jewish people in Germany and Europe which we who are living today look back on and refer to as “the Jewish Holocaust.” Adolph Hitler and his Nazi butchers began a systematic “genocide” against the Jewish people in 1933, and not a single nation so much as lifted a finger to help the Jews. Rather, the nations refused to “see” what was occurring in Germany. But the Lord wasn’t overlooking any of it. Read Psalm 33:10-15.

At that precise time Nazi Germany had become the most technologically advanced nation on earth. They had the largest, most mechanized, military with the most advanced equipment of any nation on earth. Every other nation in Europe stood in awe and fear of Hitler and his Nazi storm troops. But the Lord wasn’t overly impressed. Read verses 16-17. In fact, right here in this Psalm marking the beginning of the Jewish Holocaust, the Lord explicitly prophesied that He was going to save His Jewish people. Read it for yourself in verses 18 – 22.

Whoa! How do I know this Psalm applies to the Jewish people and marks the beginning of the Jewish Holocaust? Some readers may think I am just “reading into” these Psalms my own personal “theory.” Not hardly! PROOF? I’m so glad you asked!

The Jewish Holocaust in Europe began in 1933 immediately after Hitler was exalted to the position of Chancellor of Germany. It lasted until the end of the war in Germany in 1945. Now carefully study Psalm 33 through Psalm 45. This is 12 Psalms correlating precisely with the 12 years of the Jewish Holocaust, one year for each of the 12 tribes of Israel. In studying each of these 12 Psalms, the careful reader can easily see that the situation and sufferings of the Jews in Germany and Europe during those 12 years are described in detail. Even the plight and apathy of other nations are described in these 12 Psalms. Let’s see if our readers don’t agree….

I remind our readers that from 1929 [the year Adolph Hitler began his rise to power] through 1941 the whole world was in the grip of “the Great Depression.” Perhaps the real [spiritual] reason for it has been totally overlooked. Think about it!

Psalm 34…….This Psalm correlates with 1934. In Psalm 34 the inspired Word explicitly states, “The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing.” In America [young lion] in 1934 there were people actually starving to death. The “Great Depression” had begun in October of 1929.

Hundreds of thousands of people in America [and other countries] were out of work. The central plains of the U.S., the “bread basket” of America, had become one vast “dust bowl” producing nothing to feed the masses of hungry, starving, unemployed people.

Yet, just as the Lord says right here in His Word, those who truly sought the Lord during that time had their needs met and made it through those bitter years. I KNOW! I was born in 1934 and my family went through those hard, bitter years of the “Great Depression.”

I could write a book on what I personally saw and experienced as a young child growing up in those years. Notice the Lord’s exhortation in Psalm 34:11-15 for people to seek Him. Notice also the Lord’s explicit statement against the wicked who were persecuting His Jewish people in Europe in verses 16 and 21. Carefully study this whole 34th Psalm and be blessed.

Each of these 12 Psalms, 33 – 45, describe in detail the very things the Jews in Germany and Europe were subjected to during the Holocaust. Being spied upon, falsely accused, being placed under oppressive laws and regulations, being forced into silence, being forced to report on and betray one’s own family members, friends, and neighbors, being arrested without provocation or on trumped up charges, being imprisoned without cause, and even being taken to the gas chambers and the crematoriums.

Oh yes, all these details are right here in these 12 inspired Psalms. If you haven’t seen them, perhaps it is because you haven’t been looking. Again, I could write a book on just these 12 Psalms pointing out the details of the 12 years of the Jewish Holocaust in every Psalm. It is right here in plain sight for those who have “eyes to see and ears to hear.” Does that include you?

During those terrible years from 1933 when Adolph Hitler became Chancellor of Germany one European nation after another fell as the German army advanced across Europe. It seemed as if the German juggernaut simply could not be stopped. And in every nation the Germans conquered, the Jews were rounded up and shipped to the concentration and extermination camps. But then our gracious God intervened again…….

Psalm 41…….This Psalm correlates with 1941. On December 7, 1941, exactly 24 years to the day after the Lord had began the deliverance of Jerusalem out of the hands of the Turks in 1917, the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor and the next day, December 8, 1941, the United States of America entered the war.

I urge every reader to read this 41^st Psalm through the eyes of the suffering Jews in Europe who were being bitterly persecuted under the heels of the Nazi regime. Over and over again in this Psalm, the “Israel of God” describes their suffering and the mockery of their enemies against them, and yet their unswerving faith in the God of Israel as they cry out and confess their sin to Him. Those readers who can’t feel the heart’s cry of those suffering Jews in Europe at that time as they read this Psalm are entirely too “hard hearted.” You need to ask the Lord to work a change in your cold heart.

Even while the Jews in Europe were crying out to God for deliverance as clearly set forth in this 41^st Psalm, the Lord was already moving the nations to bring about their deliverance. It was not until the United States of America entered the Second World War after Pearl Harbor that the course of the war in Europe began to change. Any good history of the Second World War will verify this statement.

In this issue of the Last Trumpet Newsletter, we will once again examine the current events in light of God’s Holy Word and take a close look at the driving forces behind the turmoil people are facing in our world today. We now live in an age when even the most adamant naysayer can no longer deny that we live in very troubling times.

Over the centuries there has been a lot of talk about “making the world a better place.” Yet, in many regards the circumstances of our lives are worse than they have ever been. It is certainly true that we have seen many technological and medical advances. However, the level of sin that abounds all around us has only grown and intensified, and the invention of many new technologies may actually be doing more harm than good. Instead of trying to make this world a better place, we should focus on getting to a better place and helping as many other people as we can get there too. For as Peter wrote in II Peter 3:13, “Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.”

It is my hope and prayer that the contents of this newsletter will strengthen your faith and inspire you to draw closer to God. If you have not yet given your heart to the Lord, I encourage you to do so now. As you call out to God in sincere and humble repentance, He will hear you, deliver you, and abide within your heart.

How Technology Transformed The World!

I have always been fascinated by technology. During the 1980s, I would watch my older siblings use our family’s Apple Macintosh computer and be amazed at what could be done with the machine. In the early 1990s when my father purchased a Packard Bell computer running the MS-DOS operating system, I would watch intently as he used it to write the newsletter with the hope that he would someday let me use the machine too when I was old enough.

In the late 1990s, my father purchased the first computer for family use, and a few years after that I was designing and building computer systems of my own. Over the years we have seen the introduction and proliferation of new devices such as laptop computers, smart phones, iPods, iPads, GPS navigation systems, and e-book readers.

The world has grown increasingly connected; we now live in a world where our personal communication devices, entertainment devices, and workplace devices are all intertwined and interact with each other over the Internet. It’s literally everywhere we go; and even if you choose to not own a computer, the banks, grocery stores, gas stations, and other locations where you conduct business are all interfacing with the Internet and in some cases, putting your information online.

While this new era of innovation is touted by many as a great benefit to society, there is an insidious side to the technology we have today. It has caused great detriment to personal privacy, and it can now be used to keep tabs on everything we do and everywhere we go. If you carry a mobile phone, you can be found. If you have a GPS navigation system in your car, your location can be pinpointed. If you use a discount card at the grocery store, your purchases can be tracked.

To make matters worse, the government agencies and the private corporations that collect your data often do not take adequate measures to protect the information. Every year there are new stories of “data breaches” at companies tasked with compiling and storing your personal information. One such recent breach occurred at a company known as Epsilon Interactive. According to a press release by Epsilon’s parent company, Alliance Data Systems Corporation, a hacker was able to gain access to Epsilon’s email system and steal the names and email addresses of 2% of their total client base, which is a percentage that amounts to millions of records. (1)

In the state of Texas, a far more serious data breach was recently brought to light. Staffers at the office of the State Comptroller discovered that the records of 3.5 million Texans, some of which included social security numbers, were accidentally placed on an unencrypted web server and left exposed for over a year to anyone with a basic knowledge of the Internet. (2)

Another incident took place on April 6, 2011, in the state of Oklahoma. A laptop computer containing the records of about 133,000 Oklahomans was stolen from the car of a state employee who had stopped for lunch at a restaurant. The records contain names, addresses, social security numbers, medical information and other data. (3)

While it is very troubling to see so much personal information at risk, what is even more worrisome, especially for the U.S. military, is the growing concern over potential cyber attacks by foreign enemies or terrorists. Peter Pace, a former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, stated at a recent conference, “We are way late in being ready to defend ourselves against a cyber attack and we are highly vulnerable as a nation. We have the most capability on the planet to attack (in cyberspace). But like every other nation, we are vulnerable.” (4) The entire infrastructure of the United States, as well as the banking and economic systems, are all run on computer systems.

Here let it be noted that hackers in Red China have been using cyber attacks to infiltrate foreign governments for years. Attacks which took place last February against Australia targeted the email of the Australian prime minister and at least ten federal ministries. China also launched cyber attacks which infiltrated the computers of the finance, defense and treasury departments in Canada. (5) In the past, China has also launched cyber attacks against the United States, and they will likely continue to do so in the future.

In fact, according to a report from the Pentagon, Chinese hackers have a detailed plan to disable America’s aircraft battle carrier fleet using cyber attacks if war should ever break out between the United States and China. Larry M. Wortzel, the author of the US Army War College report was quoted as saying, “The thing that should give us pause is that in many Chinese military manuals they identify the US as the country they are most likely to go to war with. They are moving very rapidly to master this new form of warfare.” (6) How crippling could cyber warfare against the United States be? Sami Saydjari, a cyber defense specialist at the Pentagon, testified on April 25, 2007, that a mass cyber attack could leave seventy percent of the United States without electricity for six months. (7)

In addition to the loss of privacy and the security threats we now face due to the implementation of modern technology, the Internet has also given millions of users quick and easy access to sin. Pornography is especially rampant with twelve percent of all websites on the Internet providing explicit adult content. Additionally, one quarter of all Internet searches and thirty-five percent of all downloads are related to pornography. (8)

Unfortunately, the adult content so prevalent on the Internet has already destroyed marriages and ruined many lives. It is a problem even among those who identify themselves are Christians. According to a 2006 survey of 1000 respondents, the poll found that 50% of self-identified Christian men and 20% of self-identified Christian women admitted to viewing pornography. (9) Perhaps what is most distressing, though, is the impact this unseemly content is having on our impressionable youth. According to an August 2009 survey conducted by the Journal of Adolescent Health, 55.4 percent of teenage respondents admitted that they had visited sexually explicit websites. (10)

Even though I enjoy working with computers and some of the gadgets we now have access to these days, I have to admit that much of our technology has had a profoundly negative impact on our lives. While the Internet can be used for good or even innocuous purposes, it is far too often used for evil. Furthermore, it is the technological advances, or the “increases in knowledge,” that have given the governments of this world the ability to track, tag, and follow those of us they consider ordinary people. New technologies have also been killing off entire sectors of industry, including wired phone services, photo processing, and newspaper publishing. In fact, a recent study by a research firm known as IBISWorld found that within its database of seven hundred industries, two hundred of them are in decline. (11)

The United States Economy – Still On The Ropes!

When the American people suffer through an economic downturn, there is always an expectation that things will eventually get better. However, the United States has now been “recovering” from the Great Recession for nearly two years. If there is a slight improvement in unemployment data, economic growth data, or any other relevant data, the mainstream media plays it up big and purports that our country has finally turned the corner and the recovery is taking hold.

Yet, the news stories I am seeing now as I write this newsletter in mid April indicate that the economy is once again slowing down. Robert Dye, a senior economist at PNC Financial Services, stated, “It does look like (first quarter) growth will be in the neighborhood of 2 percent. There has been a steady dialing down of expectations. We are facing increased headwinds from higher oil prices and slower demand from Japan and supply bottlenecks.” (12)

Of course, unemployment is one of the most important factors, if not the most important, when we consider the health of the economy. In the April 2011 issue of the Last Trumpet Newsletter, I explained how many of the new jobs being created at this time do not measure up to the old jobs that were lost. In confirmation of what I had previously written, I now have a rather bleak report in front of me with the headline “Future Jobs Won’t Support Decent Living Standard.” According to this report, the U.S. Labor Department is projecting that fewer than thirteen percent of jobs to be created by the year 2018 will provide enough income for a single parent family with two children. Only forty-three percent of those jobs will provide enough income for a two income family. (13)

As we watch the cost of food and fuel continue to rise, many economists and experts are now sounding off about the direction in which we are heading, and things do not look pretty. Peter Schiff, CEO of Euro Pacific Capital, stated, “If people think that gas prices are high now and that food prices are high now, just wait for another couple of years. Prices are going to be up in the stratosphere.” (14) Bill Simon, the CEO of Walmart, has also warned that inflation is going to be a serious problem, stating, “We’re seeing cost increases starting to come through at a pretty rapid rate.” (15)

Although President Obama and the politicians in Washington have been putting an emphasis on the national debt and how to reduce it, very little has actually been done to correct the situation so far. Yes, they gave us a grandiose show of theatrics as Republicans threatened to shut down the government if there were not cuts to the budget, but in the end their efforts only yielded what they claimed was a 38.5 billion dollar cut in spending.

However, an article published by the Washington Post cited an estimate by the Congressional Budget Office of the true reduction, and it only amounted to 352 million dollars. (16) It is important to note that the United States budget deficit for the month of March 2011 alone was 188 billion dollars. (17) Therefore a reduction in spending, whether it be 352 million dollars or 38.5 billion dollars, does very little to actually help resolve the American debt crisis.

The problem is very serious, insomuch that it prompted Richard Fisher, the president of the Federal Reserve Bank in Dallas, to warn, “If we continue down on the path on which the fiscal authorities put us, we will become insolvent, the question is when.” He later went on to say, “I think we are at the beginning of the process and it’s going to be very painful.” (18)

On April 13, 2011, Barack Obama gave a speech regarding the debt crisis and what he plans to do about it. After being sure to pass off all blame for the current economic predicament to the previous administration, he went on to describe the situation here in the United States as follows, “Even after our economy recovers, our government will still be on track to spend more money than it takes in throughout this decade and beyond.

That means we’ll have to keep borrowing more from countries like China. That means more of your tax dollars each year will go towards paying off the interest on all the loans that we keep taking out. By the end of this decade, the interest that we owe on our debt could rise to nearly $1 trillion. Think about that. That’s the interest — just the interest payments.” (19) The solution Obama later presented in his speech was to raise taxes on the wealthy.

However, anyone with a reasonable amount of common sense should be able to discern that simply raising the taxes of those who are well off will not be a solution sufficient enough to correct this crisis. I find it unlikely that only the wealthy would see tax increases. Obama also hinted that there would have to be reductions to entitlement programs such as Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security. Considering the fact that we will also soon be forced to bear the burden of Obama’s new health care program, we could be looking at some very hard times ahead.

As the U.S. dollar continues to weaken due to inflation and the ever-increasing level of debt in the United States, the prices of precious metals, such as gold and silver, have been steadily climbing. Gavin Wendt, an analyst with a company known as Minelife Pty, stated, “Commodities, including gold, will continue to be the focus of investors.

There’s no compelling reason to own the U.S. dollar and I see little significant recovery ahead for the currency.” (20) As of this writing, the price of gold is now $1486.37 per ounce. (21) It is interesting to note that the price of gold in April 2001, which was only ten short years ago, was approximately $260 per ounce. (22)

In these times of uncertainty, it is very easy to become discouraged and worried about the future. I am sure many people are wondering how they will be able to afford the cost of gasoline this summer or how they will put food on the table. Thankfully, we serve a mighty God who dearly loves his people.

He can make a way where there is no way. Our Lord Jesus demonstrated his ability to provide in the 17th chapter of the gospel of Matthew. When tribute collectors came to Peter seeking payment, Jesus sent him out to go fishing. Upon catching a fish, there was a piece of money in the fish’s mouth sufficient enough to cover the tribute for both Jesus and Peter. I firmly believe that the Lord is able and willing to provide for our needs if we seek his kingdom first.

The True Motivation Behind The “Green” Movement!

“Green” seems to be everywhere we turn these days. Automakers are trying to sell us “green” cars, stores are trying to sell us “green” appliances, and politicians in Washington are pushing for “green” energy. These days it has become popular to label anything considered environmentally friendly to be “green.”

While I am no fan of pollution and I don’t mind recycling my used cans, I also know a gimmick when I see one. The truth is that if you can brainwash the public into thinking they are helping to save the planet by purchasing your “green” products, you can earn billions of dollars in profits.

Corporations can also earn tax credits and other special considerations from the government by adopting environmentally friendly policies. That is one of the reasons why huge companies such as General Electric can get away without paying income tax. Instead, General Electric receives a rebate from the government worth 3.2 billion dollars. (23)

The green movement goes beyond being a simple gimmick, however. There is a strong religious underpinning to the whole concept, and it is based on beliefs that have been around for thousands of years. Ancient pagan cultures from years gone by were known for worshipping the earth, and it is a practice that is still widespread among witches and other pagan groups to this day. Those involved in pagan religions put a great deal of emphasis on saving “mother earth” because to them the earth is their “mother goddess.”

Unfortunately, the green movement has caught up many people in earth worship who do not even realize that they are involved in pagan practices. Devotion to the earth is not Biblical, and the driving force behind it has caused many people to go spiritually insane. For example, the European Commission recently proposed that automobiles be removed from all European cities by the year 2050.

Siim Kallas of the EU Transport Commission indicated that there will be directives and new taxes on fuel that would force people to use alternative forms of transportation. “That means no more conventionally fueled cars in our city centres. Action will follow, legislation, real action to change behavior,” stated Kallas. This ridiculous proposal stirred Hugh Bladon, a spokesman for the Association of British Drivers, to say, “I suggest that he goes and finds himself a space in the local mental asylum. If he wants to bring everywhere to a grinding halt and to plunge us into a new dark age, he is on the right track.” (24)

It has also come to light that the South American nation of Bolivia is in the process of drafting an United Nations’ treaty that would recognize “mother earth” as a living entity with rights equal to those of humans. Pablo Salon, Bolivia’s ambassador to the United Nations, stated, “If you want to have balance, and you think that the only (entities) who have rights are humans or companies, then how can you reach balance?

But if you recognize that nature too has rights, and (if you provide) legal forms to protect and preserve those rights, then you can achieve balance.” (25) The treaty also calls for the establishment of a “Ministry of Mother Earth,” which would be put in place to respond to nature’s complaints. (26)

Folks, we as Christians should not be concerned with trying to “save the planet.” We certainly shouldn’t be giving reverence to “mother earth.” As Christians, our devotion is to our Almighty God, not this planet. The fate of this world has already been foretold, for as it says in II Peter 3:10, “But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.” Any and all efforts to save the planet will be futile in the end.

Is The United States Of America Really A Free Country?

Throughout the very brief history of the United States, there has always been a great emphasis on freedom and liberty. The American National Anthem calls it “the land of the free and the home of the brave.” But is the United States of America still a free country? The following are some recent events in America that might make you think otherwise.

In the city of Hazelwood, Missouri, two sisters were banned from selling Girl Scout cookies from a stand on their front lawn. Apparently their cookie stand ran afoul with a local ordinance which prohibits the sale of commodities from a residence. (27)

In Houston, Texas, a couple which had been providing meals nightly to between 60 and 120 homeless people were shut down by officials because they did not have a permit and in all likelihood would not be approved for one if they applied. (28)

Little Village Academy in Chicago, Illinois, has enacted a new rule which prohibits children from bringing packed lunches to the school. Instead, the children are forced to eat the cafeteria food. Principal Elsa Carmona stated, “Nutrition wise, it is better for the children to eat at the school. It’s about the nutrition and the excellent quality food that they are able to serve (in the lunchroom). It’s milk versus a Coke. But with allergies and any medical issue, of course, we would make an exception.” (29) Apparently, Ms. Carmona doesn’t feel that parents can be trusted to make sound decisions about the food their children should be eating.

In Detroit, Michigan, when a mother who had been homeschooling her daughter decided to send the child to public school, the young girl was required to receive numerous immunizations. Upon receiving the shots, the child began acting out of character with strange facial grimaces and an unusual level of irritability. The mother was then told to give her child an anti-psychotic drug known as Risperdal.

However, the medication only made the girl’s condition worst, so her mother ceased administering the drug to her child. Upon learning that administration of the drug had stopped, Child Protective Services decided that the mother was medically neglecting her daughter and came to her home accompanied by police officers to take the girl away.

According to reports, the mother fired a gun at the police officers, and in response a SWAT team with automatic rifles descended upon the woman’s home. In the end, there was a ten hour standoff; the mother is now in jail, and the child is in custody of Child Protective Services. (30)

It is a strange time in America. Those running the system are slowly tightening their grip and closing in on the people. If we have authorities telling us that our children cannot sell cookies from their front lawn or that we cannot feed the homeless without a permit, how much longer will it be before more liberties are taken away? If parents are forced against their will to drug their children, what else will the authorities try to force upon Americans? We need God’s help now more than ever.

Food Research And A Dirty Secret!

In this modern era of the twenty-first century, there are many different sins plaguing the United States. However, of all the sins people and entities are committing, I believe abortion is the most grievous to the Lord. Abortion is not only murder, but it is murder of human beings in their most fragile and innocent state.

Sadly, not only are innocent babies being butchered by the millions, but their cells are also being used for research after the fact. A company known as Senomyx has been using cell lines from aborted babies to test flavor enhancers for some of America’s largest food manufacturers.

“Using isolated human taste receptors, we created proprietary taste receptor-based assay systems that provide a biochemical or electronic readout when a flavor ingredient interacts with the receptor,” states the Senomyx website.

The cells that the company are using are called HEK 293, and they come from the embryonic kidney cells of aborted babies. Pepsico, Nestle, and Kraft Foods are among the companies utilizing Senomyx’s services. (31)

Earth – A Planet Continually Trembling!

Despite the fact that the 9.0-magnitude earthquake which struck Japan occurred a little over a month ago as of this writing, the small Asian nation is still in chaos as workers struggle to regain control over the situation. Numerous aftershock earthquakes have been reported, some of which were quite significant.

Japan is still shaking, and those aftershocks are only making it more difficult to contain the disaster which occurred at the Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear power plant after a tsunami swept through on March 11, 2011, and knocked out power to the plant’s cooling systems.

The nuclear disaster has resulted in vast amounts of radiation escaping into the atmosphere and large quantities of radioactive water seeping into the ocean. In fact, the level of radioactive iodine-131 in the seawater has climbed to 6,500 times the legal limit according to an Associated Press report dated April 16, 2011. (32)

The same reported indicated that the levels of cesium-134 and cesium-137 in the water has increased fourfold. (33) The contaminated water has raised concerns about the safety of seafood caught in the regions close to the disaster area. “Even if the government says the fish is safe, people won’t want to buy seafood from Fukushima. We probably can’t fish there for several years,” said Ichiro Yamagata, a local fisherman. (34)

Unfortunately, the contamination does not only affect seafood, and the contamination is not limited to only Japan. On April 5, 2011, it was reported that radioactive iodine-131 was detected in rainwater and milk in the European nation of France. (35) Just how far this disaster will reach remains to be seen, and the long-term health effects remain to be known.

Will there be more disastrous earthquakes happening? Some experts seem to think so. Jerry Thompson, a writer, director, and journalist who has covered earthquakes and tsunamis for twenty-five years, has warned that the west coast of Canada will suffer from a mega earthquake at some point in the future. (36) It is interesting to note that before the devastating 2004 earthquake and tsunami that took place in Indonesia there had not been a earthquake of that magnitude since 1967.

With extremely powerful earthquakes occurring in Indonesia, Chile, and Japan within just a few years time, scientist Richard Aster of the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology has stated that we may be “in the middle of a new age of larger earthquakes.” (37) Interestingly enough, there have been a swarm of earthquakes in Hawthorne, Nevada, where hundreds of earthquakes have occurred over just a matter of days. (38) We are truly living in a period of time when the whole earth is shaking, and I believe that it is one the many signs that our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, will be coming again very, very soon.

I appreciate the kind letters, the newspaper clippings, and the articles that are sent. I know that many of you miss my father and often wonder what he would say about all the things we see happening. I often wonder the same thing, but I believe that if he were still with us, he would tell us to keep our hearts ready for the soon coming of our Lord. The signs are all around us, and as Jesus told us in Luke 21-28, “When these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.”

First, David Wilkerson, pastor of Times Square Church in Manhattan, wrote The Vision in the early 70s. In that book, he wrote of a “soon-coming” devastating earthquake. I think this is a good time to look once again at what he wrote because he referenced a possible major earthquake happening in Japan first…”
