He Destroyed Me Before His Face
From Fivedoves:
The lion in his majestic form, was not just God putting beautiful aspects of a big cat together. He didn’t just say, “They will love to look at his mane. They will think he is kingly.” All of the aspects of the lion were methodically and symbolically planned down to the last whisker.
The mane that surrounds the lion is called in some scientific circles, a “fencing mask”. It buffets the blows from the claws of a competitor.
A roar from a lion can be heard up to five miles away.
A lion who wins his place in a pride, after battling the current male, will ALWAYS destroy the cubs that are not his own.
In studying a book entitled, The Art of being a lion” I cried out to the Lord about this destruction of these innocent cubs. I told The Lord that this is not a picture of Him as our Lion of Judah! The response I received back was both chilling and necessary for me to understand the nature of Our Lion, Our Lord.
The Lord showed me that when we accept Him as Lord and Savior, He is accepted into our “Pride” (pun intended!) He battles the enemy lion in the camp. Scripture states that the enemy roams around as a lion seeking whom he may destroy. So we do have two competitor lions trying to win our hearts.
Next, The Lord (Lion of Judah), will destroy the “foreign cubs” of fleshly aspects of our “old man” that He did not create in us! He will then, after destroying those aspects of ourselves that are not “His”, recreate those Godly aspects that are of Him. This is pictured in the lion procreating with the new alpha females in the pride as soon as the cubs that are not his are destroyed. Another chilling aspect is that when this new male wins the pride by proving his strength and begins to destroy the cubs that are not his…the female, LETS HIM….I know me too
But let’s look at that from a Godly point of view! In my studies I have found that aspects of the soul are wholly female. So when our (female-lioness) soul allows this New Lion(Our Lord) to destroy those fruits of ours that were not His to begin with, this is proper in the eyes of God. We must allow the new fruits (cubs) of our new nature to be birthed and thrived under this New Male Winner of our souls!
The first thing that happened when I became a born again spirit filled believer, The Lord “destroyed me before His face”. There was nothing left of the old nature (foreign cubs). This process was not instant, It has taken over five years! Then he created in me, through obedience to the new Alpha Male entering the “pride”, new fruits of the Spirit (new more beautiful cubs
You may know of even more beautiful and awe inspiring aspects of the nature of the lion as God intended. These are just some that have shaped my life!
Looking up and loving the learning process!
